The Journey
Written by Tayria Ward on November 2, 2010There is wisdom that says that anything we do is not about the destination, it is about the journey. This has become cliché’ but like most clichés they are so because they are true. When they are realized there is a different respect for the words.
I have seen it so much more clearly in talking to people in various circumstances recently. When the end of life it will not matter a bit about where we got to, it will matter about whether we were true to our path or not. There is no place to get to, there is only being on the path. It occurs to me that it is the same with a healing journey. After the death of a loved one, divorce or major trauma, for example, the healthy concern is less about finally getting to the place of being “over” it, went through it, now it is done than it is about always being true to the path that the event creates for us.
It doesn’t matter where we are on the journey; it matters that we are on the journey. There is no final destination. The universe is always unfolding infinite potentials and possibilities. It only matters that we are on our own path, whatever that is. Being on the path is success already.
